Street racers. It's bullshit. These cars should be donated to tracks as rentals. That might actually help to solve the damn problem.

We are at the, once again, statement of, "People are stupid!"
RIP Type R's, Evos, and 3000GT's. You are loved and will be missed!

what info do you have that suggests they're street racers?
Just looks like a regular scrap yard in Japan to me.

Why treat the cause when you can go stomping out the symptoms?

Whether or not these ones are street racers, this IS what happens in a lot of states. The cars are just crushed, and not one part is salvaged.

they do that down here too, the 3 strikes hoon laws, or repeat drink driving offenders. They'll auction the car off if it's worth a lot of money though, dunno what the threshold is.
(also I just realised a couple of sneaky mr2's in the bottom left picture. now I'm sadder)

As a Honda owner, I weep seeing lightweight 4x100 wheels in good condition being scrapped.
EDIT: Nope. Did a GIS and this image's from what looks like a Malaysian broker's yard. So I've probably seen these same parts flogged on eBay.
